ABOUT TERRI

Originally from Dayton, Ohio, Terri Roberts-Leonard proudly serves as the Director of Diversity & Inclusion at Franklin College. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Communication with a concentration on Organizational Communication and a minor in African American Studies from the University of Cincinnati. She holds a Master of Education in Sport Administration from Xavier University and a Master of Arts in School Counseling from Morehead State University. Prior to working at Franklin College, she held positions in higher education at the University of Cincinnati, University of Massachusetts-Amherst, Morehead State University, and Ball State University.

Terri’s focus is on community service and education.  She has a 14-year progressive career in higher education. During that time, she has served various communities in various ways. Terri uses

transparency, engagement and holistic approaches to build relationships and encourage learning and community development. 

 

Although accomplished in her profession, her reach extends far beyond Franklin College and into the greater community. Terri serves on the Board of Directors for Windrose Health Network and the United Way of Johnson County. She is a part of the Turning Point Domestic Violence Services Johnson County Community Coalition, Northwood Elementary PTO, Clark Pleasant Education Foundation Special Events & Fundraising Committee and a member of the Alpha Sigma Indianapolis Alumnae Chapter of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc. Terri is a 2015 graduate of Leadership Johnson County. She also serves as a professional mentor for several individuals in the field of higher education.

 

Terri’s commitment to community service, education and inclusion is extensive, and her devotion to improving the community is reflected in her tireless, excellent work, which impacts countless individuals. As a member of the Greenwood Common Council her aim will be to create opportunities for the city and its residents and open the door for innovative ways to strengthen, empower and protect our community.

 

Terri resides in Greenwood with her husband Eddie.
