Community Focus (Quality of Life/Safety)

We need to maintain high paying jobs, improved infrastructure and quality school systems so that Greenwood can become a destination city. In a day and time where hate and distrust is so prolific, we should strive to build and sustain a community where individuals are welcomed, safe and aware of the community resources that are available to help enhance their quality of life. We want to continue growth as a vibrant city and a great place not only to raise a family but for single people, young professionals and retirees as well.

Communication

The citizens make up the community. Their voices should be heard and their input should be welcomed, valued and considered. The citizens should be represented by individuals who will work together across political party lines and listen to the voices of all community members. Citizens deserve representation that will do what they believe is right. It should be a responsibility of Common Council to educate citizens on decisions that are made and to help combat the circulation of misinformation.

Fiscal Responsibility

Community members trust their political representatives to make sound financial decisions that are in the best interest of their city. Transparency in fiscal management is an important part of building and maintaining the trust of the citizens that the council serves. Common Council members should aid citizens in understanding how the city balances its expenditures and income and how healthy finances ensures the financial security of our city.
